My guess is a control arm got bent along with an axle.

The wife wasn't in the car, she was watching on the side lines. I have no idea why it bent like that, I'm completely clueless. I didn't hit anything. I don't know if it's the axle, looked fine from under the car.

I lost bad against "joliroger", it's was my first time draging. I launched good but bogged like a mofo, oh well. I ran a 14.7 I think, who cares, I don't. Drag racing ain't for me.

Another vote for the trailing arm. Make sure the control arms/control arm mounts aren't pooched as well.

Something came loose. Probably a trailing arm.

What did it drive like after the damage?

You should be able to feel and hear a snaped trailing arm.

Usually you get that kind of damage to the wheel well drag racing if a tire lets go, and that's obviously not the case.

Trailing arm/traction bar would be my guess. Not a difficult fix so long as everything else is OK.

Judging by what yall are saying it may be the trailing arm, I'll confirm that after I look under the car again.

The car drove like the rear end wanted to come loose, felt like crap.

I bent a trailing arm at the track at it felt horrible I thought the rear end was just going to come out with me rolling down the street. So I called a tow truck to come get me and then I just replaced them with Some A1's and they were great until I snapped one in half by the fish eye on the right side. Now I have a set of reworked stock ones that I had a machine shop make a couple extra welds and has worked great for 4 years now.

Anyway, now looks like the time for SS traction arms, a reinforced subframe, and RK poly subframe bushings!
