ok well i have a 86.5 n/a auto and i was driving down the freeway and the car was running fine then just died out of no were! i check the fuses and the am2 fuse was blown so i replaced it and it started right up but after a min or so dead again and the fuse was blown again now it blows the fuse when i turn the key. this was bout 6 mouths ago and i still havent gotten it fixed. the car still trys to start but wont kick over this has been driving me crazy! dont have the money 2 send it 2 a mechanic they charge $85/an hour to find the problem if any one has any ideas please let me know thanks.

p.s. im still kinda new to the supra

Sounds like you have a short somewere. Check all your wires for one maybe frayed, insulation stripped off around something metal, etc. The wires get old and the insulation gets a little brittle.

yup sounds about right...more than likely short to ground. do you know how to read wiring schematics?

if yes follow everything from that fuse both on car and paper. multimeter will help.

if no... there a lot easier than they look, i bet you can google it and learn the basics.

nice good job

i had a short that would kill my windows dash and climate control for some reason they are all on this little fuse what i believe is a 7.5 lol

it stopped happening when i replaced the fuse one time so i guess i lucked out well for now :aigo:

if it starts happening again i'll have to get to the bottom of it
