Car / dash camera?

Has anyone ever used those dash cameras that record as you are driving and automatically loops when recording?

I think it is a good idea for situations where there are accidents or wrongful tickets or anything..

i want peoples opinion on the cheaper models that can be bought from ebay and these other more expensive ones.

I've got my android phone set to record and just have it in a universal dash mount.

I still want one of those... you're fixed on one angle with those, correct? Couldn't hurt to have one pointing out the back if you ask me...

No, I'm too lazy for that. And I hate cleaning the inside of the windshield of all the little rings.

They seem like they would mount easily enough to a cage's main hoop from what I've seen, but from that angle, how well would the thing be able to see outside the window?
