I need a cover to properly protect my MKIII when not in use. Anyone have any experience with covers of differing grades. I saw some at AZ ranging from $29-69 with warranties up to 10 years. Am I reading too much into this or are they really all about the same. Also any tips on using covers other than just making sure the car is clean before installing? Thanks Matt

Don't go too cheap - you will get what you pay. I have a covercraft block-it 380. It fits the car really nicely. I got it from autoanything.com for $141. Now I haven't used it much, but its water-proof and it breathes. You don't want something that will hold moisture against the car.

I would never use a cover on a car kept outside. Even the higher quality products seem to just hold dirt against the paint and flap in the wind.

I use a cheaper one when I leave the car in the garage for extended periods of time. I make sure the car is perfectly clean and that the cover is always kept clean in it's box. It fits decent and seems to do the job just fine.

Thanks Saw, ZZZ. I plan on using the cover on my garaged car so I may go with a less expensive one.

It's a sad day to see a supra left outside

On that sad day when I left the supra outside I used a carcover but I rigged up some rope that was attached to wheel chalks to keep the wind from blowing it. Worked well I might add.

OP good thing to hear your keeping yours in the garage.
