Hey everyone. Im a newbe in owning a Mk3 Supra even though Ive done a lot of work on them, Ive never owned one.

Ive been trying to find a "how-to" on removing a lot of the hoses from the engine bay. Not the vacuum lines and EGR system. I have seen photos of 7mgte's W/O the extra breather hoses going over the valve covers and such but cant even seem to google a thread that breaks it down to the do's, don'ts, and replace with this's.

Ive been searching for about a week and I finally broke down and joined this forum in hopes that I could get some answers, thanks.

Don't touch those hoses unless you have a piggy back unit or a standalone system on your car. The only one's that I'd suggest doing anything with is the PCV hoses going to the accordian hose and into the thottle body. Search on how to properly install an oil catch can on a MKIII and you'll know what I'm talking about ;).

and what about if you are using a vpc? I was looking for different tips on cleaning up the engine bay too

Using a system that allows you to switch to MAP for your airflow measuring needs lets you clean out a lot of those hoses. The key is where you are measuring your airflow - stock does it right by the air filter, meaning that everything else needs to pull from or push to the system after the air flow meter.

Add in a turbo so that you have pressurized and non-pressurized areas after the AFM, and the system gets complicated FAST.

With, for instance, a MAFT Pro, you can plumb in a MAP sensor at the manifold instead, add in a temp sensor after the intercooler, and most of those hoses can go away. You get to replace most of the crossover hoses with simple breather filters. Add in a catch can, and you'll have even less.

Most of them go away with the MAFT pro... the idle air source goes away, replace with a filter... the blow off valve recirc fitting goes away, just vent to atmosphere... an oil catch can will simplify the PCV system, and after that all you have left is vacuum lines.
