Ok so this guy who owned Lucy is an idiot!
I had to take the exhaust manifold off, I mysteriously developed a bad leak only 150 miles after buying a "perfect running daily driver". The gasket looked almost brand new, but was blown out on the back side of #6. Come to find out that 2 holes are stripped, 1 with a bolt (not stud) with the wrong thread pitch. all but one of the rest are helicoiled already, and 2 of those the coil isnt in right.
So I got the kit and fixed em all but one. one of the middle holes appears to already be drilled out to far (and not to the same size hole all the way down either)
So, whats the solution? Get a larger sized coil, redrill the hole, retap, and coil? then, open the hole in the manifold to accept the new larger stud?
Im pretty sure thats the right thing to do, I just wanted to BITCH AND COMPLAIN about Lucy being a bitch! (and the guy who sold her to me is a lying dog, but thats another thread)
