Cut off the bottle-neck in the 3k pipe first, that way it's about the same size as your new pipe ;). Don't cut the new one first (I like those lips on the ends that will keep the hoses from popping off ;)). Check out Aaron at drftmotion.com and see what his prices are on his couplers and t-bolt clamps. Support the community!

yeah well the new pipe is 2.25...and the 3000 pipe is what 2" on the inlet? thats not a big difference..or am i missing something?
i was thinkin maybe if i just get a piece of pipe the diameter of the outlet/tb(i didnt measure it) to use as a 3000 pipe...
i wouldnt have to cut the lip off, but then i would have the problem of the 45° coupler that would be too small to fit over the replacement 3000 pipe. any ideas?

wouldnt it not even matter to get a larger 3000 pipe? i heard that if you have a smaller pipe going to a bigger pipe, your only as good as your smaller diameter pipe...

I would cut the bottle neck off also. I did it on my car, then took a ball peened hammer and lightly kept tapping on the new edge until it rolled a bead outward to hold the clamp on. Yes you can use your old IC piping, if you're on a budget or into ghetto mods. You can also go to an auto parts srore and find a radiator hose that you could probably cut down and make it work. They are rated for higher pressures than you'll throw at it. On the other end you will need a reducing coupling, or you can put a 2" hose on that end, then slide your elbow over that hose and clamp both leyers down. Use hairspray to slide these on, and they will setup pretty permanant.

You can get 2.5" 45deg couplers for $21 at Driftmotion.com. They have 2.25" but just not posted online. So a 2.25" would be less than $20. I just got the IC pipe kit along with 2 90deg and 2 45deg couplers and the quality is great. Email Aaron and he'll let you know a price.

Go to hose techniques. They have all different sizes. Shipping cost is a little high but the couplers are not to expensive. Turn around is pretty quick.
