Hmmm... I'd have to say I do. But I'm really more of a Momma's boy.
My mom and dad both just up and quit their jobs a few months ago (Mom working at the hospital for 30+ years and dad working as a foreman at Delta Faucet for... since he was 17.... so like 40+ years) and decided they are gonna be truck drivers. I remember actually LUAGHING at my mom when she mentioned it to me, like... lol'ing in her face. Anyway, him and mom are loving it, they're getting their time together and finally are able to travel, making more money, yadda yadda, so it's all good. It's like theyre actually married now, up until probably last weekend when my dad left on his bike to ride down to Kentucky, I may have seen them hug/kiss ONCE in my 21 years.
Anyway, about my dad... He's awesome most of the time. He taught me everything I know about cars (until it comes to my limited education on turbos) he's always helped me when I needed it. He's always made sure that I had every oppurtunity to lead a better life then he ever will (school and what not). So I guess with all of that he's cool. But the bad thing is that I make a mess when I work on cars, I'll admit it. But he seriously jumps my shit if there are parts on the floor before the cars leaves the garage. THAT gets old. and he's always saying "I always thought you had more respect for me than that"... and I see his point, but it's his freakin fault, I only do most of that to make money to pay for crapp while I'm in this crappy school making $.54/pay period.... lol And he also bitches because I will spend money like there's no tomorrow, say I'm doing a timing belt swap... I'll go ahead and do all the front seals, swap the tensioner/spring, replace the valve covers, maybe change the water pump/t-stat, get new plugs/wires, maybe a new cap/button, anyway what I'm getting at I will do anything but tell my kids what my dad told me - "If you're take the time to do something, Do it right" lol It's awesome looking back through the years and remembering how much of an ass I thought he was, but in retrospect he was doing everything for my benefit. Geez, now I wanna go home and give the old fart a hug. Thanks guys. He also got me in to motorcycles/dirtbikes so +1 for him.
Still a momma's boy for life. She buys me gas and let's me drive her car when mine's down and buys me whatever food I need during the week while they're gone so I don't have to spend any of my money. Totino's pizza FTW!
