camshaft/head stud question

im pretty sure he's not dumb enough to grind his cams down while they're still in the head. I think he's asking for future reference, if he removes them this one last time and grinds them. Im not for grinding the cams, not because balance is an issue (think of how many cam caps there are) but it could potentially weaken the shaft itself. usually the short socket on an extension while rocking the cam back and fourth will work. the cams are hardened steel, meaning they're really tough on the outside, but brittle on the inside and modifying them can weaken their overall strength.
