I have a set of BC 272 cams that I was going to run in my build, they are still in the box on the shelf. After talking to Ian about them I decided not to use those cams. I did buy a set of billet cams from Rich at SIP. Those cams are
9MM and 234 degree duration at .050 lift.

doesn't cower just do regrinds from the base lobe if so that make your shimm pretty thick

935 offers this but say's it regrind

and nothing is listed on there site

i just don't wana risk spitting shim at 7000 rpm or so

this is what i wanted to run befor 264 and 8.1 mill lift from colt cams

has any one tried this befor ?

still worth it...especially if you are doing high rpm pulls! it will benefit the valve train with less weight and more dependable...but its also one reason why im not going with aggressive cams with my motor build as it requires alot more money.

well that drive's up the price to the point were drop in cam are about the same price

i have alot fo oem shims kicking around

now the key here is how thick of shim can you run tell you risk spitting it out ?

why not just invest in shimless buckets and be done with it?

Its usually a problem of them being too thin when they kick is it not?

I run the 280's... I think that when are deciding on cams it is critical to know what your head is capable flowing and at what lift and match the cams accordingly ....

Here I go again with crazy talk

Nash, if you run a regrind, don't use a thicker shim on top. Place a "make up" shim under the bucket that is the same thickness of the amount of base circle that was removed. Then just continue to use the stock shim on top. A good key to not spit a shim also is to run the cams on the tight side of clearance in respect to lash.
