ok guys just yesterday i was just surfing craiglist around my area, and i found a 89 7mgte supra for 1100!!! well i try to get it for 700 dollas and got it for 800 instead lol... but ya anywayz its in good shape! r154 and lsd on it :) bad starter and bad intercooler piping... well anywayz i try to push it over 3000 rpms but it wont let me, im guessing its cuz the intercooler pipes have a 1inch hole it and its also boost leaking like crazy, but overall the car doesnt overheat, had it on for 2hrs... but anywayz i just hope its the intercooler pipes that making the car act up after 3000 rmps, but anywayz here are some pics of the sweet deal lol...

Very nice use of $800, that's for sure!

But, at first glance of the first picture, my first thought was "Eclipse"? Second thought....."Probe"? I think it is the black wheels. Car looks to be nice though. I would definitely attribute problems to the hole in the IC piping. If you still have problems after fixing that, look to the AFM next, as not revving over 2500-300 usually point that way.

It appears that Nick is right. Take the boot off of the power steering reservoir and connect the small plug inside to the tip of the round oil pressure sensor on the block straight below.

the Driftmotion.com DIY kit is not too bad pricewise, and me and a whole forum full of us will recommend it. It was enough stuff that I have done 2 different set ups with it, and still have a couple of pieces left. It comes with quality couplers and good T-bolt clamps.

check codes

Also looks like the bsv, on t-stat housing is still hooked up to ported vac? and the other line to evap canister is gone. i would eliminate that line and plug it off, being that to canister is gone, the would create a vac leak under throttle, when sensor heats up and opens.

well everything looked hooked up right... i check all vacuums lines and the one from the wastegate wasnt connected, so got that on, and i taped up the holes from the intercooler piping... woot the car was running clean lol, i pushed it to 100 mph once and 90 mph second, pulls nice and no lag at all, i found me a good one :) i just need to replace old parts for new ones, damn spark plugs were all messed up, meaning used up :p. lol it does look like my talon i have a white talon with black top as well lol, im going to get rid of that car now since now i have 2 supras :)

Why not just look for the suspected back IC piping and repair just that one? The current pipes on there don't look bad. Also test out the AFM per the TSRM and see if its within spec. Good find and good luck
