I took my car to Big 10 tires to get an alignment. I was told they could not perform the 4 wheel alignment for the camber settings as my camber adjustments are all maxed out and worn out. They said they need to order new camber adjustments kit from Toyo to get it aligned. Now 6 months ago the same store performed an alignment just fine. Now they are telling me it cannot be done. My questions are do these camber adjustments kit do wear out over time that now it needs to be replaced. Second, why is 6 months later this kit is worn out all of sudden, makes no sense. I think I smell BS or let me know otherwise.

Based on the charts here are the readings:

Front L= -0.2
Front R= 0.0

Rear L= -2.1
Rear R= -1.4

I don't have mine in front of me but closest they could get mine to (and my car is pretty low) is 1.8 My front camber, I can't remember. I have all the specs and will try to see where the sheet is.

How low is your car exactly? If he got one side to a 1.4 then the other side should also have no problem matching it.

That's what I figure. He should at least match the Left rear camber but the shop said to do it right with the Front camber the rear camber kit and the Front left kit needs to be replaced.

The car is lowered 1.5 front and 1.0 rear with the stock sawblades when they did the alignment and it was right on the money. I replaced the wheels with 17x8 40mm offset that is why I wanted to get another alignment now all of sudden this problem exist. I mean the offset is not that far enough to cause this, do you think?

If the alignment was fine before, just leave it
The alignment has more to do with the angle of each hub and it's relation to the other three than how far in or out the tire/wheel assembly varies between rims
Maybe take it elsewhere for a re-do

Yeah I know what you mean. After I replaced the wheels and tires (17") the car pulls to the right, so I figure something definitely was altered. I mean it isn't that bad except that the rear tires will definitely wear out quicker. I would take it to another shop for a redo just to see what they say, I have no problem buying and replacing the damn camber kit but I just want to make sure that it isn't the problem.

When lowering our cars, they do run out of adjustment in the rear but getting new adjusters isn't going to fix that.

If new adjusters won't fix it, what will. I don't really care how the rear wheels sits, as long the car drives straight and not pull. Any recommendation?

Try another alignment place, perhaps a Toyota dealer.

I would Jeff. If Toyota can't get this thing aligned without replacing the adjusters well probably no other shop can.

Well, I took the car to Mr Toyota and the service mgr said that the rear camber could not be align per specs as the adjusters would not hold. Mr Toyo did manage to align my car so it no longer pulls which is a good thing. But if I ever need to get it properly align with the correct camber settings, Mr Toyo did suggest to replace the rear cam adjusters.

i got my front cambers down to -1.3 from a -2.5 and my car is super dumped, however the guy told me that the rears cannot be fixed. and the camber for my rear -3.0 (left) and -2.5(right). he told me for 200 dollars that he could fix it by fabing something up.. i thought he was just BSin me, i guess i was wrong..

how about that a1 racing arms? i think buckshot has them and maybe those can be adjusted to correct rear negative camber?
