Cam Sensor Wiring On The 7M....

Hey guys, I am wiring up my car and the Cam Sensor plug is cut off. The colors match except one of the wires on the engine harness. Can anyone tell me the colors of how I should wire the car...

Late 89 with the extra plug on the ECU off to the side.

Here is a picture...
I am getting spark but it is not pulsing. Fuel is good. The car wants to start but just can't because of this sensor. Tell me if the wires are matched properly.

Its a jungle in your wiring, I cant see all the wires clear enough.

Ill take a look in my car tomorrow for you though.

Pics are too blurry but it appears you have a mess. When you crank it, does the tach needle jump at all? If so then you're getting a signal, if not, then your wiring is bad.

The colors dont match up, IIRC it should go red to green, blue to red, black to tan(probably used to be white) and white to back

Someone "Sticky" this thread or put it somewhere with 7M wiring. The Cam Sensor plug was cut and the colors did not match the harness but thanks to GC89 it worked.

Note - If you do this, you might have to change the white and tan wires around because the oil might causes discoloration and the twenty plus years of dirt and grime. So, in other words, the white might be the tan.

Thanks GC89, stay around. I am hoping to sell my 300ZX and get money for my 2JZ swap into a MKIII. How is Dr Tweak's work? Good reviews? I might let him do my harness, what exactly does he does, wire and fix plugs?

No problem, cps wires can be a pain, I rewired mine on both sides with new plugs so I would never have to worry. Oh and if you were wondering it will run without the red one, and even sound cool like a subaru!!!:sarcasm:

I thought you needed all of the wires ...ur running without the Red ONE! OMG!
i had to do mines that crap wasnt easy since the freakin colors dont match!!
