I come from a land down under
Just need to shorten the bolts 2mm (A thicker washer would work as well)

I didn't have to recess the cover bolts at all.

Freaked me out badly when I fitted these with my brand new head with Ferrea Valves turned the engine and it locked solid (thought I'd hit a piston with the bigger Cams)

ok then should i spend it on an underdrive pulley or a harmonic balancer pulley?? any advice
Just don't buy a Onorthodox, they are not dampend, unless you want to hammer your mains.

I am not sure on upgrades for a N/A motor as I am turbo, for what give you the best bang for the buck. Maybe something like a header, full exhaust, ignition system.

Remember engines are huge air pumps, you want ot get more in, and then get it out fast.

Harmonic balancer pulley, but make sure it has the dampier part like an ATI one. The ones you see on ebay that are just a piece of machined alum. are not good unless you have a fully built and balanced engine. I know, I tried one in the past and my 7M lasted about 30 miles. The harmonic balancer absorbs engine vibration without one the vibration needs to go somewhere and that some where is the bearings, which is not good.

I have the Titan brand that I think are made by Fidanza.

BTW I now have two fitted and I had to file back the cover bolts behind the wheels by about 3mm.

What exactly is the point of installing upgraded cam gears on anything but a fully built N/A?

Seems like there are many, many, many other areas that could use work/modification way before lightened cam gears. :dunno:

Maybe someone can enlighten me...

and i topped her out today at 110mph. and beat a lude

If your N/A is stuck at an indicated 110mph, cam gears should be very, very, far down on the mods list. ;)

<<Perfectly stock N/A with the exception of an Apexi intake and I can do an indicated 120 with the top off, windows down without much effort. Haven't topped it out, because any more than ~100-110 on public roads is unnecessary.

Mine has BC cams and I use the gears to both tune it for performance and get the bloody thing to idle.

You can gain some performance with cam gears, the duration of letting air in and letting that valve close can give you a decent amount of power, but with a N/A I would start somewhere else first like a turbo *
