Once when mine was sitting at a friend's shop, one of the parts delivery guys asked me how much I wanted for it, but I told him it wasn't for sale. Thats it, really.

Lowballing is MK3 community standard practice.

I should put that in my sig.

I've never been asked if I wanted to sell my car. I've gotten complements on it a lot, but never an offer to buy it.

and don't sell your supra to a kid unless you want it to be wrecked within a year of them buying it lol. Thats usually what kids end up doing with sports cars. Especially if its rwd

He says to the guy who has only recently just turned 16 himself.

Just out of interest Matt, was you're car looking like shit at the time (I.E Unwashed/Unloved)? Last time I left my supra sitting for a prolonged time unwashed I got a "Free Scrap-Car Removal" flyer left under my wiper :3d_frown:

I've never once had anyone offer anything for my Supra or Lexus. What's funny is I have the Supra, Lexus, and a 94' civic HB sitting in the driveway (making the civic driveable and selling it for a profit). I get all these stupid ricer kids asking about the civic all the time. Just goes to show you how cheap these kids are.

I had a note on the windshield of the supra when I got back from the Philippines that had the persons number. I didn't call but I should've asked how much he was going to offer.

I saw a white package 92 NA AT with a SR @ my old starbucks in baldwin park, I walked inside the store to try and figure out whose car it was. I saw and older Filipino man and I knew it was his. I followed him to his car and talked to him about his car, he asked me how much I would offer for his car and I told him that his car was worth around 7k to 10k. It is completely perfect.

I had a guy walk out and meet me at my car after church and said this. "This is going to sound ridiculous"! "I have 1500 dollars cash, is your car for sale?" I said... "That is ridiculous" and got in my car and left, I wanted to smack him so much. My car is such a good example of nice Mk3 and he offers 1500hundred :thefinger

i had this happen as well

i had a guy i use to work w/offer me 20k for my 89 n/a 5spd targa all white package too. no j/k. i understand why some ppl don't understand why i said no to this offer, but i just couldn't bring myself to part w/it. i had so many offers on that car...several ppl i use to work w/a toyota dealer were trying to call dibs on it if i ever sold it. and i got ppl asking me at random too.

when i first found that car i found it in the paper listed for $2150. they had it listed for $2800 and had dropped their price. this was back in the spring of 2002. when i called i told the guy who answered the phone what i was calling about (ad didn't have a name of someone to ask for). turned out his fiance was the seller and almost immediately he told me i could probably get her to drop to 1700. i set it up to look at the car...took a fellow SCS member w/me. he test drove the car and helped me check it out...i asked him his advise. he said if he had the money it would have been gone already. i turned around and told the owner it was sold. she went in and told the other chick on the phone waiting to look at it that it was gone. she was the 2nd owner and cared more about who the car went to then the money she got out of it. first owner was a man for 4 yrs, 2nd was a female and owned for 9 yrs. car came w/a huge stack of reciepts too. then i owned it for nearly 6 yrs. the lady i bought it from...her and her fiance thought the brakes needed to be completely redone. got it on jack stands after buying it to find out the rear pads were 10/10 and the fronts were 9/10. rotors were wrapped. lol

i just picked up another project car a little over 2 months ago and w/in about 12 hrs after i got it my b/f drove it to work the morning after i got it and one of the techs at worked flagged him down and was asking about the car. my b/f told him it was mine. the guy asked if i might be interested in selling it. my b/f then told him that i would more than likely chop off his balls before i would even considering selling either of my cars. hahaha

Err, adding a Turbo to your car isn't a sure fire way to increase it's value.

I'd personally take a clean NA over a half arsed NA-T attempt anyday of the week.
