Just curious as to what HP can I achieve on a smog equipped 7MGTE auto.
I already have the intake and exhaust taken care of,but what tuning;add-on's on a stock block can I do to get some decent HP?
I want to get at least 350 or around there.
I don't know what devices I can add to my motor that are smog legal.

thats going to be kinda hard. i would just build the car and keep your stock parts and then swap for smog.

Here is my old smoggable setup (taken the same night as my smog check):

p1479327_2.jpg

Specs:

- TO4E-60 Trim
- Greddy Intercooler
- RC 550s
- Lex AFM
- 18 PSI
- 3" turbo back exhaust (3" DP to HKS Twin Tip 75mm)
- 3" cat
- SAFC (hidden in glove box)

Technically, the Greddy intercooler kit is not legal. But the SPEARCO intercooler is legal, so you can substitute that.

As you can see, as long as your engine "appears" stock, they will not investigate too far.

While I never dynoed, the setup should have been good for 400HP.

dam. was kinda going towards like dwonpipe if you dont have the shield and they see it and like a afpr, bov, and visual parts. i have a 57 trim with 3in turbo back and mine passed no prob.

the test are only 15 and 25 mph tests so as long as your not pig rich it should pass. but cali seems to get stricter every year.

Afpr and bov are not required to make 400HP, so I would leave those things off for a smog legal 400HP project.

Ss for the visual, if you have a 3" turbo back downpipe, most places won't look that close.

If they do, you can always find another shop around the corner.
