Hey guys. I had th motor re worked, and they took .006" off the head, and none off the block. This equates to ~.16mm which means i would need a new 1.2mm gasket instead of the stock 1.0mm

I was wondering what the compression ratio would be if i were to keep the stock 1.0mm head gasket, instead of buying a thicker 1.2mm gasket. And would it be safe to do this?

Any help would be awesome!

Thanks guys!

I come from a land down under
I think as production tolerences improved along with cutter technology the gaskets didn't need to deform as much to fill voids and seal so they got thinner and thinner, the quench/squish is built into the head casting.
