Toyota supplied the CT12 on 1985-1990+ 1G-GTE (twins), 2E-TE, 3E-TE, 1N-T and 2C-T motors. They supplied the CT20 on the 1982-1990+ 3T-GTEU, 22R-TE, 1C-T, 2C-T and 2L-T motors. The CT26 came on 1984-1996+ 3S-GTE (some), 7M-GTE, 12H-T, 13B-T, 14B-T and 1HD-T motors.

The only factory turbo/motor combination found for the MKIII Supra in the USA is the CT26 on the 7M-GTE 3.0 Liter motor from 1987 through 1992. If you have a turbo Supra in the US, it's 99% positive to have this turbo/motor combination unless someone swapped in a 1JZ-GTE.

Be aware (if you are searching for a replacement turbo for example) that there are two CT-26 turbos, one that was supplied in the MR-2 and one that came on the Supra. The MR-2 model is MUCH smaller even though it was released with the same name.

Of the turbos you mention, the CT26 is the largest.

Read around the forums a bit, you'll find a lot of information on upgrades, what to do, what not to do, etc.

thanks for the info, yea i was looking at the turbo with my friends and looked pretty big for a stock turbo, i read that there is a ct206 i think a better 7m motor, true or false????

I believe you're talking about the Turbo-A Supras - only [strike]50[/strike] 500 were made. None of them made it to the USA (legally) - the bulk are found in Japan or Australia. -- Yours is probably stock - look around the forum - there are tons of pictures of stock cars. The CT-26 is a fairly large turbo for a factory unit.

Typo? think it was about 500? made , and its still a ct-26 with a diffrent letter on the housing if I recall and larger trim 50ish? someone help me out on that

Yea, I meant 500 - these things happen at 2AM And yes, it's a larger trim CT-26 - I don't remember what's on the housing, it's been years since I've seen one.

There is a E where the A is at on normal ct26. And some of the later 1jzgte's vvti (97+) came with single turbos, I believe the ct26.
