No Fuel smell here, I've had it out for..... ever :-Dsupra_supra said:From what I understand that charcoal canister is venting the fuel tank through the engines vacuum. I have heard of people bypassing it, but they get the smell of fuel inside there car. Most people get a charcoal canister from honda and use it since it's the size of your oil filter.

Don't just leave it open though, because venting fuel vapor right next to a hot turbo is not a good idea either. Do one of the following:
1) Extend the line to somewhere in the fender, away from the hot engine.
2) Get a vented gas cap (or drill a hole in yours) and plug the hardline. Please note, I know in NJ they check your gas cap when you go for inspection, and a vented cap will NOT pass. Just givin you a heads up.
Theres little hole in the fender with a rubber grommet where the charcoal canister vents. I just extended the line with somem vacuum hose and vented it there. And yes, plug the vac. line that comes off the manifold.saxman47 said:1) Extend the line to somewhere in the fender, away from the hot engine.
