so the car has been sitting outside covered up for about a year and a half with no motor in it. finally got the motor in a couple weeks ago and i haven't had time to work on it, so my step fathers dad (had been helping me the whole time) has been working on it for me. calls me up and says it ready to try and start it, so i go over there, turn the ignition and the motor turns over but no spark. just this buzzing noise from the passenger side. sorry if i sound stupid cuz i don't know what the part is called but i think it coming from the little metal finned box. idk if its part of the ignitor... anyways thanks for any input

That's the fuel pump relay. Do you have the ground wires connected to the intake manifold on the drivers side? There is a bolt, hard to see, on the middle manifold, that the wires connect to. Funny thing, they will also reach the starter. Some have connected them to the starter, not going to mention any names :)

Thanks, AJ. i'll have to look into it. He said he has all the grounds hooked up right but i doubt he did. Im hoping thats all it is. Is it going to ruin the relay not being ground right.

Don't think so, it's just not going to run. There is two sets of wires on eyelets that I'm talking about.
