yep already bought a couple cans. Got a nice mask, some quality gloves, and a few clamps and other things. With the 80cu.ft. bottle of 75/25 and little cart, I came in just under the 1k I had to spend. (got enough left over to buy some test stock and some wire) So this weekend Im gonna set me up a place to work and get busy. I was joking with my sister and telling her since I got the first batch o'Wings out the door I was gonna take the weekend off....and by taking it off I mean, Im gonna spend 15-20 hours welding LOL!

Anyway, thanks for all the advice on this thread, now I get to learn a new skill...YAYYY!

Congrats! I have the 110V version of that welder and it works great. Less versatile than industrial grade rigs but it works great for what I have used it for. Some formal training will help for sure but like IJ said it's all about practice.

Good luck hope it all goes well!
(I still get a buzz out of welding and have been doing it since I was a kid) :)

Same here. Even doing the same weld over and over for days on end is much better than sitting in front of a puter all day long scheduling and tracking production....
