I understand, but your situation was the exception, not the rule. We have spoken with hundereds of people about their engine swaps, and they don't usually end up as cheap as yours. When I talk on the forum I am saying what I think will apply to the majority of people, there are always exceptions, and I'm obviously not always right.

oh yea i believe you 100%

i read the forums too and there's 100's of threads like this

very true, driftmotion is the ish! they helped me get everything i need and i got a complete engine SET not a clip but it came from a clip :) so its pretty much the same thing minus a few things. Didn't have the stock IC setup so i just got an after market one. All things purchased from driftmotion for an engine set + goodies was 3500 roughly money well spent.

Only if i was more aware and noticeds such badass and helpfull site and peeos i would of probably been one of driftmotions customers but i didnt no until i already finished my swap and sourcing alone. All and all a clip is the way to success the fastest and easyist. Only took me a week! 4 days to be excat to get my moster breathing. I got everything out the door including shipped to me for 3200.00, from JR AUTO best thing was it was clean as a baby and only had 30000 miles. Its running strong and pulling hard ive already destroyed a twinturbo RX-7 FD-3S and a 2000 mustang pieces of shit corbra hahahhaaaaa.

I talked to aaron over there and I'm pretty sure they just have a 7MGTE they could get rid of now, but i dunoo 4 sure... jarco seems to have a 1jz clip on their website, so i'm giving them a call 1st thing tomarrow.
I think this 1jz swap may cost more time, work, and money but in the end it will pay off. I'm stoked

We don't have a clip available right now, just want to save him some time and money. Buy a clip from Jarco or Jhot if they have one available, but the engine set might be more hassle then it's worth.

Aaron is all 1jz'd out. I think he's planning a one week vacation in Hawaii, to get away from me and a few others that are doing the swap right now. He's all out of answers to my many questions, and I think his phone bill has doubled because of me as well, but I'm worth it.....................:biglaugh:

Cool, why isn't it in the car? :biglaugh:

I can get a 5 speed Supra clip shipped to you anywhere in the united states for $3400. If your on the west coast that price would include BIC mounts if you wanted them. If we ship it to a business on the west coast I could even throw in an exhaust like that.

The 1J is a good motor, but you also might want to consider going NA-T with a 2jzGE. It would end up being less expensive for you if you plan on making big power with your car or going standalone......

i had that option to go with but went 1j instead bc a na 2j turbokit averages like 2500.00-5600.00 pending. Im happy with the decision i made my 1j clip only had 30,000 miles and got it sent to me for 3200.00.

I guess if you dont plan on throwing a huge single on it makes sense to go that route.
