Alright well I was told my motor was shipped out on the 27th, yesterday. I was given a tracking number, and it will not show up on UPS. I email the company back, they told me it was not appear on UPS.com until it get's to New York, or I like to say the U.S, has anyone else bought anything and waited for a tracking # to appear when it reaches U.S soil?

Alright I guess I will sit back and relax. I just like having a tracking number for something I paid a large amount of money for. I hope everything is good, and also it better be out of a Supra like the one I ordered. it is a lot easier to wire, and being a five speed I don't have to buy a bell housing, flywheel, and other things I needed.

Also this is the company I bought it from. jdm_planet, there feedback is ( 99.5% )

With that type of rating, you should be in good hands. Now let's just hope the shipping company doesn't break anything..............oooops, now you have that to worry about..........:sarcasm:

Jay, ha funny you say that. Thing always seem to be broken with these motors. My last 1j had a few broken clips, but otherwise it was great. Sorry about last night, I worked till 4:30 A.M and the power washer was loud and I didn't hear, you call.

Now I am very unhappy.

Here I been documenting and typing what has happened to far with everything,.

Bought The motor on May 20th, Wednesday

Thursday the 21st. I called to se if the motor was shipped, I was told to call tomorrow.

Friday the 15th. I called at around 10:40, They told me to call back at 5:00 or 6:00, I called them at 4:30 and they said they’d find out more, call them back in 15 minutes. I called back and I was told “ Your motor you bought had bad compression, one cylinder was 65 psi, we don’t want to ship a bad motor. We’ll be getting more engines in on the 27th, your motor will be shipped out on the 27th.

What I want to know is why would they sell a motor that has not been tested yet?

May 27th: I contacted JDM-Planet and got a tracking number 084424314.

May 28th, I checked UPS.com and couldn’t find the number, I called JDM_Planet and they told that it takes until it reaches New York to get a valid number working on UPS.com.

May 29th. I called International UPS and talked on the phone for 40 minuets with 3 different people. I finally got a hold of the right person and they called the UPS HUB in Montreal and they did not pick up my Motor. One item was picked up from JDM_Planet BUT was not my item at all. My Tracking number also was not found anywhere in the system, and all three at UPS were searching for it. So the tracking number was a fake that I was given, and I don’t understand why.

This company is constantly making me wait, and I have no hope of ever getting a motor because tons of excuses are made everyday I call or email them. I have all the Emails that were sent to me, as well as the tracking number which NEVER existed.

they could have sent that motor with low compression anyway as im pretty sure its not bran new and it is imported...what i personally would say is "stop bitching and fuckin be thankfull that they even bothered testing it period"....hold your ponies and wait for a good motor too be shipped!

Would you believe anything someone tells you? What if they never had a 1Jz and they just gave that excuse. You don't know. Wouldn't you also think it is weird how they compression check a motor AFTER they sell it? You need to think more about everything and not respond based off of what they have told me.

I bought a motor Sunday night from Canada before got it at 2:10 Friday, that is the way it should be.

I've never heard of or dealt with JDM-Planet, do they even have a website?

No they do not. I got a email back from the company. They said they will refund my money, but wait until Monday to see if they can get my motor out, if not I will get a refund, so it looks like continues emails and calling helped.

That's still a bit much, though, regardless of the reasoning. I mean, I can see if the motor fell off a pallet when loading or something along those lines because, well, shit happens, but the (possibly imaginary) motor should have been checked before the sale, and the B.S. tracking number shouldn't have been given.

...of course, it could be that the tracking info was sent to UPS, then some guy with half a brain decided "hey, we should check this before we send it" and they found what they'd had, but that seems like a pretty long shot to me.

Best of luck to ya.

If they had this motor with bad compression, they would have sent it out hoping Eathan wouldn't do a compression test on it and if he did it would be up to him to get it shipped back to them so they could replace it with another engine. I don't think they ever had one to sell. Now they're trying to locate one to ship out to him. If it was you that sent out three grand or however much he paid, you'd be bitching and whining about it as well when all you got was lies and fake tracking numbers. All reputable companies send out fake tracking numbers to make you feel secure in your order.

If they do end up sending out the engine, make sure you are there to sign for it. You also want to note any damages on the bill or better yet refuse the freight if any damages. It will make you life a whole lot easier to make any claims.
