Busted frame....

i noticed it after i went home when i heard my rear end popping when i took off from a stop...so i got under my car this morning and found this....(its a rear angle of the axle/driveshaft

How the hell do u fix that? i was just gonna bend a piece of steel and weld it on and grind it flat... correct? i need help on this fast cuz i had to skip work today to fix it... any input would help. thx

wow...that sucks. I am sure you could box that section with an L piece and weld a new thread nut to it to tie into but I am not a welder or an engineer so I have no idea the integrity you have lost.

Might want to check the rest of the subframe as my guess is you'll find a bunch of cracks over the snout of the Diff

god im in such a fat hole with this car... everytime i fix one thing another thing happens... i think im just gonna sell it and go ae86. but i need to fix this issue befoer anything can go through with this car...

Lots of options depending on your skill/equipment

1) Replace the subframe

2) Drop it weld it back together and reinforce it

3) Attempt to weld it under the car get burnt a lot swear at it spray some deadener over it to hide the mess and sell the car to buy an AE86

HA! thanks for the help guys but i repaired my problem that i thought would put the car finally to rest but talked to a buddy and we came up with this!....

now its doin it on the other side....but up top where the subframe is welded together above the diff...

Well if you get a an insurance is way to high and the s2k if your going out and messing around in the will oversteer like no tomorrow and boom.
Corolla , if you get the gts then good, but if you get the sr5 then you will have to do alot of work on those car's suspension, they were not the same car.
Honda fit so you want to swap a k 20 or a b18c, Thats alot of money.
