Well, about a year after getting the car i finally got some paint on it. I think we did pretty good for our first time painting. I used a single stage dupont black. It still needs to be wet sanded and buffed, and i still need to paint the doors, hood, trunk, mirrors, and trim but it's getting there.
Its hard for me to put my finger on it, but it just seems like the car is missing something. :dunno:

So...partially due to my lazyness and mother nature being a bitch i have 4 nice dents down the right rear quarter panel of my freshly painted car. I got home the other day to find my portable garage slid all the way to one side of my driveway due to the 60mph winds we had durring the day. I'm thinking that probably isn't good, so i open the door to find the side of the garage leaning against my car. As i pulled the garage away this is what i found.

go to a professional place when its running, they usually do it for around 10 bucks a dent iirc. Honestly i cant think of ways that wont scratch the paint.
That dent sucks man but I have been there. Right after I finished painting my car I was putting it back together and I did not have the rear hatch struts on yet. I was keeping my hatch open with a broom stick and I decided to close the garage door. Well my hatch was up so high in the air the garage door release hit my spoiler scraping off all the fresh paint.........lol

You are one ambitious individual, that's one hell of a project. Sucks about the fresh dents, but when it's done she will be a beauty. never give up.
