is a supercharger an option? if so how much extra will that get me?

No one has really ever gone the supercharger route, or at least no one has publicized it, so this is unknown.

just swap in a turbo motor and call it a day...

NA is a waste of money, same with a supercharger.

Some people don't need to go that fast, so NA isn't all too bad for that purpose. Also, NA is simpler, believe it or not. And to the turbo guys I'm not saying turbo is unreliable or too complex, so don't get defensive.

Also, building up an NA to be decently fast is considered quite a feat/achievement for us, so it's a sense of personal satisfaction that drives people to do so.

Cheapest route next to rebuilding would be to import a JDM engine. I havent seen any 7MGE's around for a while but they usually run $1100usd or so for a complete motor.

JDM motors suck. I know from first-hand experience (since my car had a JDM Engine before I got it)

The MKIII Supra isn't the best platform to build on drag-wise. (Just build a funny car if you want a dragster) Let's just face it, it's a fat heavy car with pop up headlights; it is never going to be the fastest car on the streets. But one thing is for sure, it's a god damn good touring car.

Just fix it up and make it reliable. Keep it original and polish it up; there is nothing more awesome than seeing a MK3 Supra in mint condition. Then again, that's just my opinion.

Oh wow, haha, sorry about that. I didn't even read that far into his post (the sloppiness of it threw me off). I'll edit my post to avoid confusion :)
