So i spun a rod bearing after the headgasket went, and im going to build the bottom end now. Im not exactly sure what parts i should get though, but im going forged internals.

As of now im thinking

??? .020 Pistons
Eagle Rods
Driftmotions brand new shimmed oil pump
probably .010 rod bearings

Not sure what else...

Also, how is the stock ecu going to handle forged internals with it being 0.020 over?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Shane

After looking around a little i came up with this, but im not sure if these are "Good" forged parts.

Lmk please.

DM Upgraded Oil Pump
ARP Rod Bolts and Main Studs
Clevite Bearings
Probe Pistons
Eagle Rods

Does that sound like a good list? I don't plan on making more than 500whp anytime soon, and thats if i go T4. Setup as now is

Apexi intake, lex afm, cooleze intake pipe, 57trim ct26, 2.5" hardpipes, spearco replica, HKS Headgasket with ARP head studs, 3" turbo back, 550cc injectors with walboro fuel pump, built trans, and random gauges etc.

Thanks again,
Shane

EDIT ---------

Its around 1,500 for the list with Probe Pistons and Eagle Rods, which would leave me enough money to get a AEM Standalone, or i could get JE Pistons and Crower Rods with everything else previously listed and that would be around 2,700, but then i'd be pretty close to my limit.

What do you guys think?

gasket kit don't forget that....if i were you i would just buy a stock oil pump and shim it your self you just need like .05mm washers i believe that's what i did to my oil pump im at like 50 psi or more at 70+....

also don't forget to add the cost of a good machine shop...cost me 1k on the dot..

if i were you i would also think about 1pc steel drive shaft so you could get all that power to the ground...

i would also add 3 core radiator it would be a very good upgrade keep you supra running cool at all time...what about brakes, clutch, and suspension what are your plans there..?

i also have the 57trim trust me you wont be dissapointed i got it from driftmotion also...aarons a cool guy

Well i have around 5 to spend, so i figured 2-3 on parts and 2 for the machine shop / random things ill need.

How hard is it to shim the oil pump yourself? I just dont want to mess anything of that up.

Also, got a new toyota radiator with maybe 5k miles so i should be good on that, brakes are new, built auto trans, and suspensions done. No 1 piece driveshaft yet though.

I just want to get everything together before hand so i can have the machine shop balance and blueprint the build.

And of course a gasket set.

----------EDIT-------

Im thinking the eagle/probe setup will be enough for my power goals, since id like to try and save some money. I dont plan on making more than 500whp anytime soon at all. What are your guys input on eagle/probes.

-----2nd EDIT-----

Also im going to be daily driving the car. Will i have any problems using forged parts for daily driving? I just want to build the motor right the first time so i don't have to spend thousands again soon. Can't afford to do that. Any help would be great. Ive read good and bad things about probes, but what about other pistons? And are eagle rods good? I dont plan on making a insane amount of power but i dont want rods that arn't better than stock. Any help would be great...

Thanks

ive been thinking of going probe pistons as well, i heard the tops needed to be finished though because out the box they arnt completely ready. so maybe another 100 bucks will get you weiscos otherwise good luck! im going with a very similar set up.

^Wiescos are like 300 more. Probes are only 400.

I would just get the probes. Also will need afpr and wide band to complete everything. If you get the aem you will also need tuning.

I come from a land down under
You need to wait till it's all apart and inspected/measured before buying parts Fubar, pay close attention to the Deck area around the Steam holes on the exhaust side it's a common place for 7M's to crack making the block useless for a performance build.

And the ECU doesn't care if you have forged internals, or if your pistons are oversized by .5mm, which is what .020 is. Toyota sells (sold) them.
