I wouldn't know. I just actually started to care about PC brands again. Just in the SCII threads I see people having problems with Radeons all the time. All I know is I'm one satisfied NVIDIA owner. I just realized that EVGA is NVIDIA only. If you guys are looking into NVIDIA telling you, go EVGA!


I'll be benchmarking all my games on my 480 before I send it out for my 580.

Also try 3D :).

Well in general as well, but mainly in SCII yes. Kyle on SF ( MrKyle ) has had nothing but problems with his cards, and I see this quite often in other games I play as well. Obviously NVIDIA has its fair share of problems too I'm sure. I just don't see them as often. Take that with a grain of salt, as I don't look into it, and I am telling you just my experience.

And as I stated to I have setup 1 ati for a friend but personally used 3 and all have been a pain for me. Driver issues were my #1 problem. Most of the time they don't even install fully. Good amount of graphical issues but nothing to serious. But support is also more of a problems with ati. Kia I know what your saying though that just because one game has a problem shouldn't take the card off the list but I to see a lot of problems related to ati in forums compaired to nvidia. I'm not a fanboy for either. Both are good company's but I just prefer nvidia. Plus 3d vision is kinda cool lol

I use both ATI and nVidia literally all the time. I play the latest games as they are released. I've never run into a problem on either brand that cannot be fixed with the latest drivers. Oddly enough, the last driver problem I ran into was an nVidia card on SC2, however, it went away with a simple driver upgrade.

I have more problems with Sound Blaster drivers than I do with video.

I don't believe in having a favorite computer brand. Every time I put one together, I do the research and buy what's putting out the best performance for the dollars that I have to spend. Over the years that's switched from Intel to AMD and back several times, and in the video arena, it's swapped even more often, and across many more chip manufacturers.

PS: I'm currently running an ATI card on Windows 7 64bit, and I haven't had a single problem since I installed it. Admittedly, I haven't had it long, (a few weeks? A couple months? Since a week or so after SC2 came out, anyway) and it replaced an nVidia card that also hadn't had many problems.

Well I ended up not having the budget needed and my desktop computer took a shit on me. So I gave in and bought an e-machine from Walmart tonight along with a new wireless adaptor for $430. The computer itself was $378 and the wireless adapter was $50.
