bubbling/whistling brake booster noise when pedal is applied

Hey guys,got a question,1986.5 supra n/a,5 speed,whem i press brake pedal like half way it bubbles,whistles,but if i apply brake firmly no noise,no leak down they work fine other than the noise im hearing when pedal is softly applied,any ideas,very annoying,any suggestions would be helpful,and it just started gradually,thanks,mmkkpro

i too am very interested in this answer. i just started having a funny noise that i think is the booster. i was getting a wierd "vacuum" noise when shutting the car off, and now it does it sometimes when i press the brake. i know both of our issues sound goofy, but i'm fairly certain than at least mine is the booster.

Brake booster is likely leaking internally, you're going to want to replace it.

Check your one-way vacuum valve before throwing parts at it.
