i broke a tap in the turbo exhaust housing. I looked around and found a method where they actually burn out the tap or bolt with a machine. supposed this does not heat up the surrounding metal due to special cooling. would this be safe to do to my turbo? the guy i found to do it assures me it will be safe. hes asking $60 to do it.

$60 is cheap for EDM work, it's very precise and very safe to the surrounding material, you have to ask what's the housing worth and can you replace it for less than $60.

Most other attempts to remove a broken tap will usually just make things worse, sinker EDM is the only thing I've found that works 100% of the time.

Wire is in there too, Crazy stuff. If i had a lot of money i would have so many cool things that i probably didn't even know existed until my money (or Supra Mania) led me to them.
