Well if you have never put a real nice aftermarket seat in your car with custom bracketry to sit that low...you will never understand.

Its just one of those things you must experiance or do for yourself to truely respect it.

Actually i have. Lowering your weight 1 inch will NOT produce noticeable handling improvements though lol.

^^ johnathans car isnt stock though, if i recall he has quite a bit of suspension work and sway bars through out the car, so i can see where u would notice a difference
how do you plan on mounting the 4 point?
you going to get a harness bar? or just mount it where the rear seats went?

as for right now, mounting the new belt system where the stock mounting points are is the first option that I will go with.

After that, the autopower roll cage is going in ( welded, not bolted) and then the system will be fully functional.

Yes as mario said, I have done alot to the car........:biglaugh:

^^ I Read somewhere that mounting them to the stock possition on the car is a bad idea, it has something to do with slack that builds up.

yea i can see that in the picture, still wont make a difference, the only difference would be from the weight, and even still that is minor, the only way to tell is if you consistently track your car and check your times. To say the car corners faster because you lowered your seat 1 inch is a little exxagerated.

Your on the right track....but the OPTIMAL position to mount the belts in are where the factory lugs are...they are reinforced at those positions.

You are thinking of submarining or spinal compression in an impact.

ONLY if your back sits HIGHER than where the belt straps go over your shoulders (meaning where belts go over the seat, they dont touch the seat ) its bad....instead of the weight of the impact being pressed on the back of the seat...it would be channled into your spine...compressing it and possibly breaking your back!

The thing is, my Bride seat has a high back....although I have a tall torso, the belt holes at the top come up HIGHER than my shoulder blades....so infact i would NOT need a harness bar of some type....

Though I will be getting a roll cage though anyways...so I will be mounting the harness to the roll cage in the back...but still utilizing the stock front two mounting positions.

Mine is about the same demensions as the new Bride LOW MAX system made for taller drivers to sit lower and get the overall weight LOWER in the car.

Put it this way, going 10 mph down the road and taking a turn, you cant really feel a difference.....but going 50-60mph you are quadroopling the G load from your weight on the car. That weight being 2" lower makes a REALLY BIG difference on the tires and the chassis.

I guess sitting GT drivers 3' backwards and 3" down ( much less the cars being 1" off the ground) does not make a difference?

Its time tested and proved that SHIFTING WEIGHT inside of a car ( being this is nearly 200lbs including me and the seat) changes the handling charectoristics....

People can tell a difference when they go from the factory 48lb hood to a 13lb carbon/glass hood.....
