hey everyone,

just had a quick question..

i replaced some parts in my bottom end over the winter- main bearings and rod bearings, installed ARP connecting rod bolts, front and rear main seals, and added a new oil pump..

and i was wondering.. i did not do such things as cylinder honing or adding new rings, do i still need to break the engine in in a certain manner? if so, whats the best way to do that? if not, am i ok to just drive it normally then?

if all you did was bearings... just drive it normal for a few miles make sure you did it right. and oil press good to.. then balls to the wall... bearings dont need to seat...

pull the ecu fuse and crank over till you get oil pressure...

EFI not ECU ;)

It's in the fuse block right by the battery, it's a big metal 15A fuse, can't miss it.

You should have coated the bearing with moly lube to make sure they are properly lubed. Yes they do need a bit of wear in...
