Correct. There is no "engine" break-in that needs to be performed. However...the head bolts/studs will need to be retorqued after five heat cycles.

ARP Head studs change very little during the first heat cycles.(retorque still necessary) ARP Head Bolts and Stock Head Bolts can vary quite a bit though.

I am less than 100 miles away from 3k on my new hg. I used arp bolts torqued to 90 ft. Lbs as recommended. fel-pro gasket. Runs perfect! A little white slime under the oil cap but i think that's just from winter setting in and condensation. The overflow doesn't seem to move so...(of course, it could be blown again and i just don't know it because the cold weather keeps it cool. I think that happened last time).
