well my supra is finally running ok ...I have .20 JE pistons, eagle rods, 2.0mm MHG, balanced crank assembly and a brand new ACT 6 puck w/HD PP with 5 miles on the motor. (and no codes ::w00t:: I was reading the motoman break in method on the motor where you beat on it like a red headed stepchild for a while....and the way he explains it makes sense but i also have a new clutch that needs 500 miles so that the car can be launched like the guy suggests...I searched this topic and I know that there are a bunch of different opinions on this, but i was just wondering how to approach it with a brand new clutch.

thanks,

val

I had the same problem, but it's fairly simple. All you have to do is get your motor up to about 4500rpms, so put it in second or third and rev slowly. You don't have to build boost to get there, and then let it slow back down on it's own. Do that three or four times and then drive it regularly for a while until you get your required mileage on the clutch. Good luck. Dont' stay at any one rpm for an extended amount of time either.
