brass flakes in oil pan..just bearings

So I pulled engine out and put it on a stand and when I dropped the oil pan there were trace amounts of brass looking flakes. Everything looks great though to this point, crank turns great, can't feel any play in rods or pistons but I will be pulling the caps to change the rod/main bearings, but ran out of time to do so. Just wondering what you guys think my chances are that everything else but bearings are OK.

No way to know until you pull the crank, but if there's no noticeable knock, then I feel that it's likely that your crank will get by with a polish.

if theres any kinda scoring/mark on the journals i would get the crank checked to be sure. or if it was knocking, then i would for sure. These are the things that alot of people just try and fix without checking clearences properly. and then they end up getting the same problem as before and then think 7ms will always get rodknock.
