my left side brake makes a terrible squealing/grinding sound all the time...i pulled off the caliper and disk and they are both in very good condition, however i did notice a small amount of play in the "hub" or whatever it's called is this normal or is the wheel bearing messed up?
if it's bad anybody have that assembly for sale on here?
this supra is my winter car, i'm tryin to get it ready for the season, so i don't get stranded on the road somewhere in sub-zero temps
i kinda put this one on hold so i could get some stuff done on the project supra, but i'm running out of good weather :(

I think you can get wheel bearings on ebay but i cant remember if i seen any recently. I dont believe they were too much money. Im not sure but i think you can use a dial indicator to check a wheel bearing if you have a repair manual look up the procedure on it to find the specs and how to do the procedure too. I dont have a book handy at the moment or i would help you.
I bet the rear wheel drive on the supra is fun in the winter.

in the haynes manual (just a cheap backup i keep for general reference, it drowned in brake fluid somewhere along the line), it said that cars after 87 or 88 had wheel bearings that were non-serviceable. can anyone confirm or deny?

haha yeah the RWD is kinda difficult sometimes in the snow...but it's a small town and there is nowhere to go anyway :p
the only cars i have that arn't RWD are my celica and my spec-v...the celica ('99) is down for a 3s-gte swap and the spec-v hasn't even seen rain yet
