Brakes: Brembo rotors and EBC Green Stuff?

What do you guys think about a Brembo plain rotor and EBC Green stuff brake pad combo for the front and rear? All I want is something that's good on the road and better than stock. My car is a street/highway ride only so the combo needs to be suited for that use.

Any other suggestions are welcome!

sounds like a reasonable combo, specialy for just driving around, i had very good results from EBC green stuff.

Yeah I figured I couldn't really go wrong with that combo. Hopefully I'll have them and installed sometime this summer and I'll report back.

I'm actually curious about the EBC green stuff products. I have only personally seen them in magazine ads, so I wasn't sure if they were really all the hype that they presented in the ads.

So what's the actual story behind the EBC pads? And what's the difference between them and the red stuff?

I believe the difference between green and red is that the green is more of a street pad and the red is a road/race pad. That is, if I am reading HPF's description of the pads accurately.

yea, green is street friendly, almost zero dust and no noise. but they dont last too long. high coefficient of friction.

yellow is in between, more dust and longer life.

red is race, little street. lots of dust.

So would yellow be the better pad overall in my situation?

Possibly. If your only driving on the street, ebc Green is awesome, much better then stock, but will last around 10K miles. if your driving hard, and have more power then stock i'd recomend moving up to yellow.

Sounds like green is the way to go. My car just has intake and exhaust and probably won't see much more than that in the near future. Plus I don't race or really drive it hard except for the twisties here and there on the roads.


Any suggestions on break fluid?

I always recomend ATE super blue fluid, then ATE regular next time you bleed the brakes. They are the same stuff, just one is blue the other is clear. This way when you bleed your brakes you can tell when all the old fluid is out. This is the stuff I use on my motorcycle and every car I have ever owned.

Good stuff. Any of the vendors from around here that sell the pads then? Would be nice to order the pads and Brembo OEM style discs from the same shop.

I remember that we used to have a thread explaining brake fluid, but I might be wrong and read it elsewhere. Anyone remember anything about that?

EBC pads are kinda hard to find. let me know if you would like to order rotors.

You do have other options besides EBC. such as PBR, project mu............

Are the significan price differences in Project Mu and Endless really worth it?

Meh, some say yes, i've never used project mu.

I run PBR ultimate ceramic pads on my famlies cars, they last longer then EBC, and cost allot less.
