After 3-5 pumps with the engine off the brake booster reserve will be gone and the pedal will get hard that is normal.

You say the pedal is soft but how soft is it? Like half a inch and then it is hard? Or soft the whole time? Have you tried rolling and stopping?

yup the pedal would be hard. i haven't tried driving it since monday but when i did it would be low but it would still stop the car. if i gave it 1 quick pump it would stop faster.

Have you tried bleeding the master cylinder only? IE: Crack one line at a time push and hold down brake pedal then tighten line and repeat several times on each line. . I have seen air get trapped there and not go through entire system.

If that does not work you should go a get a brake flush done at a shop that sells this service. Most times it will even make a good feeling system even feel better. IMO Good luck.

I work at a shop and do this service everyday. that won't do anything. I have nice clean clear fluid all through out the system so I'm not worried about a flush. I have a new master coming god knows when so I'll update when I have the new master in.

No difference from doing it at a shop or at home. Bleeding the system is flushing at the same time. Flushing is the same proccess as bleeding.
