Probably stress from those crazy ass deadlines he made for the builders on the show, that man demanded to much, but R.I.P.
I always thought he was kinda overrated. His cars were all the same, and his wheel designs were nothing to drool over. Sorry for his family, but maybe now 32 fords will have a chance.
He did good work but was a dick. I agree Foose > Boyd, on his show he didnt do any of the designing he just walked around yelling at people for not taking out the trash while they did all of the design/work.
Had an impact but that article spent more time talking about the cars than him.

lol MDC... very true though.
I always liked the way Chip did things (atleast on shows he was on), and I hated American Hotrod alot because of the way Coddington did things.
He did some really cool stuff... but I hope the article was correct in saying that "it wasn't really like it was on the show".
