Hi,

I hate to bother everyone with a question like this, and I definitely feel foolish for asking, but I need a little information. If someone could help me out, I’d really appreciate it…

I started tearing apart my 88T for a (yet another) BHG repair back at the beginning of November. Along the way, I got sidetracked with various other obligations, but I still took 70+ photos, as well as making countless notes with the hopes I could make (yet another) BHG repair thread in an attempt to finally make a contribution to this forum. Problem is, I screwed up on part of this: while I remember most of the stuff that I failed to document, the one part that I DIDN’T document completely is where one end of the vacuum line that actuates the BOV goes on the intake. I know that one end of the hard metal cross tube that crosses the cam covers goes, but I can’t for the life of me remember where the other end of that vacuum line (the vacuum source from the intake) specifically connects to the system. I know I could use another high-vacuum source from the intake manifold to actuate the BOV, but without capping off the original vacuum source for the BOV, I’d be left with a vacuum leak. Even if I wanted to do that, I’d still have to cap off the original BOV vacuum source.

Before anyone tells me I should have searched the archives for the answer, I want to point out that I already have. I looked at all my photos, I checked all my notes, as well as consulting both the TSRM and the EPC on Cygnusx1. I’ve also called a local independent shop that specializes in Toyotas (they told me that they “haven’t touched a MK3 in years”), and called a local Toyota dealership as well as Jay Marks/Champion Toyota (I suspect I spoke to the wrong person there), and have searched every combination of keywords in the advanced search section I could think of on both Supramania and Supraforums, and didn’t find the information I needed (I probably used the wrong combination of search keywords on those sites, but I tried).

I’ve tried to find the answer to my question every way I can think of so I wouldn’t have to bother anybody on the forum here, but I can’t seem to find the answer on my own. I defer to the experts on here, and would definitely appreciate any help any of you could give me. Thank you.

Joe
