I Just took off my stock bov and am running an hks knockoff. Now it's running really rough and dies. I was told that there was a possibility of this happening but I thought I would try anyways. Can I use a wideband and safc to tune this out? I was told that I would be running a little rich. I was also told if I ran a maft pro setup instead I could get it to run right? I am just a little curious at what options I got here to fix this asap.

TIA
Jake

sounds like the bov is adjusted to loose. it needs to be closed at idle. also make sure you capped of fthe old return port. if not its a vacume leak and will cause your problem as well.

I'll have to plug the holes a little better. I just did a quick temp plug by using a cut off bolt. How do I tighten the BOV?

That wont really do much. Every time the BOV opens, you're venting metered air which air the computer is using to calculate how much fuel the engine gets. Less air = choke.

Your best bet is to recirculate or go speed density (map sensor).

Twin Falls, Idaho? I used to be stationed in Mtn Home for a few years.. I knew a few people down there. Good stuff..

I am attending college in Twin Falls. I was born and raised in Mtn home until my junior year. I moved out and transferred to a larger school to play basketball.

i had my greddy type s vented for years, even on the stock maf. if it is adjusted correctly and you have no vac leaks the car will not stall and you dont get big puffs of smoke when the throttle is let off either. what people forget is when you let off the gas the ecu cuts fuel momentarily.
