So alright guys heres the deal im running a stock c26 with 2.5 inch piping with a 1g dsm bov.Ive also got a 3" downpipe and my boost pushed to 10. ive learned that venting to the atmosphere is cool and all but its not better performance wise. It runs ALOT better when recirculated and actually idles like its supposed to but my problem is that when it is vented to atmosphere in between shift it stutters but when its recirculated it makes a badass sound as my bov sound but i investigated it a little more and found out its the air coming back out of my intake.(as if the air is getting pushed back through the air filter the opposite way it sucks air) so guys im turning to your AWESOME advice because its stumping me haha thanx all.

Change your BOV, there should be no reason your car should be doing that with a good BOV. Do a search, there are hundreds of people running aftermarket BOV's.... and by the way it is better performance wise

Air blows out of the air filter when the BOV is recirculated back into the accordian hose?

Or it does this when it's vented to the atmosphere?

when its recirculated back into the accordian hose but i dont have an acordian hose i have a diff intake.

I would not say is " better" to run it vented....there are a lot of peope on here who disagree with venting them and there are ways to recirculate the popular ones, now I do have mine vented although my HKS SAFR ajust the fuel mixture for it being vented though.

that should still make no reason why it should come out of the filter....and are you sure its actually coming out there or are you just hearing the discarge in the pipe? also, how is your vac line setup?

I doubt he can feel the air coming out of the intake after boosting...

it's the sound, don't worry about it...
yea, esp if he has a metal pipe I could see that making more noise than the acordian hose. As long as your not leaking boost off or getting compressor surge your fine.

yeah i cant really feel it i just hear it and it flutters and i am just making sure its not bad for the turbo or anything because it is a aftermarket metal intake and one other things is that i thought it was compresser surge but how do you tell exactly if your having CS ?
