I am about to get an intercooler kit for my 87 turbo supra and the ? Is I know my bov has to be recirked. I was told that if I change the location of the bov to infront of the mas I won't have to recirk it. Is this true and if not wat other. Ways can I go?

Our cars don't have a "mas", they have AFM's. A BOV in front of the AFM will do nothing for you. I recommend that you don't take advice from the person that told you that.

Aside from that, yes, you will want to use a recirculating BOV.

I'm either going to use a hks ssqs or greddy rs type. But I know if I use the ssqs I have to weld a flang onto the both ends of the bov then recirc it. But I think if I use the rs style I may be able to get away wit just putting a hose on the end of it n trailing it back to the intake. Could that possibly work?

I'm running a hks ssq with no recirculating kit. Runs fine but it's a chance that I'm willig to take that could screw up my engine. Sounds great!

Venting to atmosphere on a stock setup can be annoying. Stalls and popping exhaust are typical. It affects some cars worse than others.

because the velocity of air drops as you go bigger considering that the outlet on the CT-26 isn't that large which is only 2 inch. So 3inch would probably hurt more over 2.5 inch pipe. Although inturn you get more volume of air but lag can be increased to a certain margin. But since this is a daily and not constanly on WTO it wouldn't really be much of a nuisance if it's your daily driver and if you're fussed about your dyno numbers.

I'm going the recirc route with a HKS knockoff... I have one on my SRT4 and works great after 4 years to atmosphere and is loud. Although I removed the "bird chirp" insert because I find them annoying. For my supe I want it to not be as loud so I recirc'd it. It should still be audible but not super loud.
