Very nice. I've had my XD9 for a little over a year and LOVE it. The Trijicon (tritium) night sights are a good addition if you don't already plan to add laser grips.

Yep, I've got your big brother - the XDm. I fucking LOVE it. I'm accurate out well past 25 yards with it ;)
i was looking at it, costs alot more and is quite a bit bigger. but from what i read about it, its an incredible gun. it was outta my budget

finger on the trigger in gun pics=gun newb

So true..

funny side note: if you ever watch Triple X #2 with Ice Cube...there is a gun scene where this actor is acting like he's firing a gun, and you can clearly see his finger on the side of the barrel...LOL

Congrats on the gun, personally I hate 9mm its cheap and accurate but I don't like it too much, haha not sure why the XD and XDM are so popular, they have some severe design flaws and I never liked the balance or feel of them but to each his own, good luck and hopefully you'll buy several more from different companies theres some nice stuff out there.

firing pins wear out fairly quickly for starters, to me thats a big issue

at the range i go to, they said their xd9 rental has probably 25,000+ rounds through it and is still shooting great without jams or other problems. only needed a trigger spring replaced.

We have .40 sigpro's as issues where I reserve, I pack my glock at my full time since it has good sights and a worked over trigger, the one they were gonna issue was old and cruddy in comparison, I can carry my kimber when I buy it as any gun really, they won't allow .50 or .44 mag but they allow .357mag, .45. 40 and 9mm so leaves it open.
