I got my 2jzge Sc300 motor today from Attarco, well its just a long block. I forgot to ask if it has everything on it. Trying to find everything and putting it all together would be a nightmare. So im thinking I might have to return this motor and get another one from somewhere else unless someone has a good idea..?

Help!

did you need the intake/exhaust manifolds? also have the fuel rail w/ injectors also have an ecu for a manual sc300, ignitor, just sold the alt and afm though.

I say sell the block to someone wanting to do a 1.5JZ, and then go buy a full 2JZ.

agreed! they are kind of like a replacement if you blew your last one anyways

I went to Attarco today and exchanged my 2jz for a complete motor with a cut wiring harness, and no ECU.

Any have vacuum diagrams for this motor?

I am going to just go with the 7m harness route, Im not sure if all the plugs will work though, i tried the plug for the TPS on the 2J with a 7m TPS and it doesnt fit. Whats a better route to go with, 7m or 2jzge harness and ECU? Im going to get some IS300 coils aswell. Im running MAFTPRO currently and I really would like to carry that over aswell.

There are a few people telling me that they dont believe me and that I cant get the 2jz to work, so even more reason to get this running and good.

Lol, yes 2jz's will never work in our car ;)

or run

i would get a 2jz ecu myself its not hard to make it work with your car.

You started off with an Aristo 2j though.

You suggest I go with a 2jzge ecu and harness. Whats all entailed in going this route?

Anyone have any ideas on FFIMs for 2jzge's?

ive done different jz's in other cars as well from other cars~:biglaugh:

going with a 2jzge ecu and harness means... you'll be taking the same steps as any other car swap hehe.. wiring is the issue ;) everything else is very similar to the 1jz swaps.. i honestly dont see why people want to do the 7m electronics route

I searched and read through Yankiwi's thread and found how the sensors swap using 7m electronics. Obviously using a 2jz harness and ecu you wouldnt have to change any of the sensors or extend any wires. But wiring the harness into the body harness is what scares me.

gte's cost too much maybe :D

Exactly. My 2j costs $550, your 2j costs $2500. Im just going to go the 7m way unless someone can give me detailed instructions on wiring the 2j harness for work for my mk3.

Vacuum diagrams anyone?

I think the same wiring connections will apply as if swapping in the 2JZgte.
The body plugs and the ecu power is what you should be concerned with for the most part.
Apart from the coil over plug design and twin turbos, the convept it still the same.
I'll try and have a look at the diagram if I can get a hold of but not promising anything.
I'd say look at the 2JZ swap information and see what wires correspond.

it really is the same concept, i would argue its taking the harder route getting the 7m stuff to work :biglaugh:

Agreed, I would consider the 2JZ ge/harness/ecu route. Less cutting and changing plugs.
Only thing that threw me off a while back when I looked at it was the fuel pump ecu, but now that I've gone through two swaps, the fuel pump ecu looks like a piece of cake to hookup. I opted to bypass it anyways. Otherwise its the same as a 2jzgte.

Heck, the 2jzge can be run off a 82 Celica/supra ecu and harness. Seen it done in a a 1970 celica st..

Im still debating the 2jz electronics. Only thing that worries me is the body harness plugs. I just thought about this, if I went with 2jz electronics would I have to stick with the distributor or could I go with a IS300 coils?

Well as is, the 2JZGE is fit for the distributor setup. However, you may be able to convert to COP style like you ca do with the 7ms.
