Bosch 044 Intank Install (Help Needed if possible)

Well Ian, the 044 that I bought came in. "Made in Czech Republic". :nono:

Friend of mine says he will buy it off me (he's not worried about it) so I can buy a different pump. He suggests that we just run both pumps in the tank to help cool it and keep the noise down as well, so I'm leaning toward the 040 this time, and will see if I can't specify that I get one made in Germany.

Im running a 044 in tank and an 044 inline

The intank was tricky. I opened up the tank hole as close as I could to the bolt holes to allow more room then ran fitting onto it. Make sure to clean the shit out of the tank to get all the metal shavings out:
IM running e85 so I made all the lines hard SS tubing. Has the return as well as the -8 pickup for the second pump:

The feed was changes to have an immediate 45 come off the pump so it was easier and hugged the bracket more

Very nice, another question, would a single bosch be enough for 600-650 whp or should i just use this as an inline pump?

I'm not sure you would prob need to be on race gas, I chose the dual setup for my e85 which is plenty for the 700rwhp mark I want.

I run the one intank all the time to keep fuel cool.

I ran the second inline and its triggered at 10psi.

I made 508rwhp at my base boost so I haven't pushed this setup at all. But I still love it, drives and sounds like stock

You can always do the "Ship In a Bottle" thing and not have to open up the hole, this is how I install the 2x 400's in my Surge tank, connect all the wiring/hoses but don't put the clamps on, lower it all into the tank and wiggle the parts in then do the clamps up.

That's how I did it before I opened it up. It was a pita so I opened it up so I can install it all and lower it In

LOL I look at it as if it's all done correctly I "shouldn't" have to go in there again so fiddly/pita is ok, having said that I did have to go back into mine!

You must have lucked out and got some German built ones, I ran an 044 and an 040 in tank using a converted Propane tank so 1/4" thick full of foam and baffles and it still sounded like coffee grinders!
