So close yet so far

Need to pull the intake mani off and run the coolant lines still. Hot side is pretty much done now though just have to put the 2 pain in the ass bolts that hold the turbo. Have to order a bunch of parts form toyota and pray they come in asap because we need this car running and tuned in under 2 weeks.

Took a few pics today. Realized when I was looking at them my camera was set up wrong so my pictures may seem slightly grainy.

It is a 74. Only extra turbo we had laying around. If we do not like the feel of it we are going to run a billet 67 DBB.

What is done to your 2J? Stock internals? Stock block and built head like most people?

Yup you are exactly right. I don't remember how far the head is built though.

Those rims. Can you get that size in a super negative offset? I need something that wide...my Supra has crazy widebody.

That said, really nice build you have going on here...pretty much where I want to go with mine. Someone said something about bay area, too...whereabouts?

What brand steering wheel is that and where can I get one? I love the old school 3 spoke wheels.
I believe you are talking about the Nardi wheel. I believe it is the 350mm rally model.

They are HRE wheels and they are custom made so they can make you what ever size you want but expect to pay at least $1,500 each wheel.

I am located in San Jose.

Nice. I want to get mine started but when I roll it on the lift, it will be to check out my R154 that I just rebuilt. I am waiting on HKS cams from Japan. I paid for the express service and it should be here this week, if not, I will be super mad and demand a refund for the express service from HKS. Sorry about the rant.

Found out today that I put on a 2JZ NA alternator so I put on one I knew was from a 1jz which fixed a squeak that we were getting from the belt. Was about to take a spin around the parking lot and found 2 small coolant leaks so we gave up for the day lol. Plans for tomorrow is fixing the leaks and hook up the e-fans to run off the AEM.
