My mods are follow:
Stock jdm 7mgte new headgasket arp bolts,
Stock intercooler, piping, and bov,
bic ddp
full 3" exhaust no cats
afm mod to raise fuel cut
hallman es manual boost controller http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/partdetails/Hallman/Boost_Controllers/Boost_Controllers/ES_Kit/7673
Im having some boost spike issues. I have the mbc set to around 10lbs. If i go wot all at once boost rises to fuel cut 12lbs ( i didnt back the screw out all the way yet lol) and then drops to 10 and stays there. If i roll on the throttle it goes to 10 and stays there so the only time the spikes happen when i instantly jam on the throttle.
I have my boost controller mount on my shock tower brake, right my the tems actuator so its not that far from the turbo.
Maybe the boost controller spikes only at the lower levels and i should turn the boost up some more, say to 14lbs and see if its still spikes?
any ideas?
I thought Hallman was a reputable manual boost controller.
