ok i used one of the hoses on to the other. So it basiclly one plug runs to the other and then i used a stopper in the other one. Ok already i have found some leaks. I can't really hear anything so i used some soapyy water and where it leaks it forms bubbles. I notice that the shitty accordian hose leaks a bit right at the turbo inlet. Also notice that there was some leaking on the hose right off the turbo. It was a very small small amount but still a little leak. Also the hoses that plug into the accordian hose what do they do?? i notice a little bit of air coming out of them as well. is that normal????? Also the boost gauge only reads 0 when im puttting pressure through the system is that normal too???

i'll try and take some pics tommrow.

How much pressure are you putting in it? Any SMALL cracks in the accordion hose are going to disappear when the hose sees vacuum because of the way the accordion hose expands. I don’t think those crack are going to be your primary concern for the moment, but keep an eye on it. If they become noticeable during normal operation replace the hose. Quite honestly I don’t think you should be using the accordion hose in this test, placing pressure inside of the accordion hose when it is not designed for it could possibly damage the hose. The small crack might have even occurred from this test. The small leak coming out of the hose right off your turbo could be come much bigger in the event of high boost and engine heat. It is known to be a bad spot, prone to cracking because of the heat. So defiantly fix that one. As for your boost gauge the car has to be on (on but not nessacarly running) for it to read anything. And even if you do have the keys on the pressure sensor for the boost gauge is behind the throttle body. The throttle body is closed only allowing a small (if any amount of air past it). And even then it would have to fill up the surge tank (the large area on the manifold after the throttle body and before the intake runners) before the boost gauge would read anything. As for the hoses on the accordion hose, one is the return for the recirculation valve, another is for the PCV recovery system. Another is the air hose for the ICS and the little one on the bottom goes to the power steering pump.

hmmm well i really wish i didn't buy the wrong sized hoses. im kinda lazy to go buy and make a new one, as i have to use whatever money i have left to go buy some oil and a filter to do an oil change.

But my main question is thoses vaccum lines that go into the accordian hoses should air be coming out of them when im doing a pressure test??

I really don't have an idea as to how much pressure im putting through......

im goign to try and take the hoses and clamp off where it just comes off the turbo and check that leak out but that may be really hard to do is it is jamed in there pretty good

anways its still sitting in the garage and today i'll be messing around with it again. I'll take some pics to help with my descrptions.

here is a pic of where u can c that it has started to crack on the hose. there was a little bit of air escaping through that crack. is there any way to fix it???? or do i have to go out and splurge on a new hose??? what about some gasket sealer?? some sorta of tape?? anything??

Do yourself a huge favor & buy a new one. The last thing you want is to have a piece of tape or a chunk of glue coming loose & going thru your turbo. That would be a little on the costly side.....

well i just stuck some gasket sealer in and then some electical tape under the clamp. Probaly didn't do anything but oh well. Deicde tp put everything to gether as this boost tester is shit thnx to my wrong measurements( thnx shaeff ....jk). So I will wait and probaly build another one again and then c what I can do from there on. SO after seeing how dirty my oil was decide to go buy a new oil filter and some new oil. Bought a napa gold oil filter and decide to swtich to a synthetic oil blend. Went and bought some 10W-30 quacker state high horsepower engine synthetic blend oil.

Sorry about the ICS thing being ISC, it was 2am and I was tired. Glad someone cleared it up. I know you’re strapped for cash right now but in the long run cutting corners to fix something will always turn in to a bigger headache than it is worth. As for air coming out of those hoses yes it is possible for one of them but the other two are unlikely, it all depends on how much pressure you put on it.

well i will make me another boost tester in the near future as for now i spent the last of my cash on some good oil and a filter. Pay day is coming up soon so there should be some cash to make me up another one. Supra sure take alot of cash to maintain and keep going.
