well the car is in the shop today to get tranny leak and check the spark plugs. As most of u know my car has been having boosting problems and I have narrowed it down to 3 things: spark plugs and wires, afm and boost leak. So today I though I would try and build me one of theses:

yeah, just make sure you use some good hose clamps on there to make sure there's a good seal.

use a small drill, then open it up with a pocket knife a little bit, then a round file!

yeah but u have to make sure the valve stem fits in perfect or it will leak air. then it will all be a waste of time. My dad has some big drill bits but i'll have to wait a day or 2 for him to get them 2 me. I can wait though patience is key. Kinda Stocked though hopefully this well be the end of my problems and it will tell me if i have boost leaks or not. one less thing to worry about on my mind

My CT26 turbo inlet is 2 3/4" O.D. If you are purchasing hose by O.D., get 3"

Good luck getting 2 1/2" to strech over it.

As for the tuna can in the other end of the accordion hose. I would not want to test if my crankcase was capable of holding 20psi. That is asking for trouble.

yeah thnx for the info kinda late though. I just got everything in the car apart like 10 min ago and now I find out my hoses is too small. So now I have to go back to store and buy new hose and a plug.

actually my dad just came up with a good idea. I wraped the end of the hose in electrical tape so that now its big enough to fit in the end of the accordian house. So now all i got to do is plug all the plug into the accordian hose and run it from there. This is even better as i can check the accordian hose for leaks too.

Um... That's a bad idea. The accordion hose is not on the pressurized side of the turbo. It's designed to see a vacuum. There are hoses connected to it that you don't want to send pressure to. Like the PCV valve.

hmmmmm i was wondering that as well. I guess i can just plug the holes with rages or something then.

If you have rubber stoppers to plug the holes then maybe, but rages are not going to help you any. Your best bet is to just go and get the larger hose and do it the right way the first time.
